About Us:



Quiltology is not your typical quilt store—and we designed it that way. Instead we are a design studio, workshop space and specialty fabric shop committed to inspiring quilters, educating new sewers and fostering creative community. We stock a small—but selective—collection of designer cotton fabrics (our personal favorites!)—books and some really cool patterns (including our own designs!)

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and personal checks through Paypal—the safe and easy way to shop online. (NOTE: You don’t need a Paypal account to use a credit card—but you will need one to draft a check from your bank account.)

Return Policy:

We want you to be happy with your Quiltology shopping experience. If there’s a problem—we will fix it. Please contact orders@shopquiltology.com or call us at 773-880-5994 if you have questions.

• If you have received the wrong product—or it arrived damaged—we will issue you a refund upon receipt of the item. These returns must be made within 14 days of the shipping date of your order.

• If you changed your mind—or the product was not what you expected—we will accept returns on any fabric yardage over 1 yard (continuous). You will be charged a 25% restocking fee.

• We can not accept returns on any fabric yardage under 1 yard.

• We can not accept returns on books or patterns due to copyright issues.

• We can not accept returns on sale items.

• We can not accept returns beyond 14 days after the product(s) are shipped.

• Unless the fault is ours—return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Return merchandise must include the original receipt, your email address, phone number and shipping address as well as a brief description of the reason for the return.

Shipping Info:

We ship via USPS Priority Mail and International Priority Mail (where service is available) and use the Flat-Rate envelopes and boxes whenever possible in order to maximize your shipping dollar! If we can ship your package for less than the cost of a flat-rate mailer—we will—and then we’ll refund the difference to you. Should the actual shipping cost more—we will contact you via email prior to processing your order.

• Flat-Rate Envelopes will hold 3 bundles, up to 5 yards of fabric or $50 purchase.

• Flat Rate boxes will hold kits, up to 15 yards of fabric or a $150 purchase.

Flat-Rate envelope rates in USDs: $5.00 to USA $10.00 to Canada $12.00 to other International destinations* Flat-Rate box rates in USDs: $9.00 to USA $23.00 to Canada $38.00 to other International destinations*

Our shopping cart functionality will add $2.00 to every $50.00 purchase above $150.00—so for instance, an order of $250.00 will incur an additional $4.00 in shipping charges for a total of $13.00 (US) $27.00 (Canada) and $42.00 all other International destinations.

• International customers are responsible for applicable custom charges, local duty or tariffs. Custom forms will be marked as merchandise and valued as per the invoice (not including shipping charges.) We cannot mark these packages as “gifts” or undervalue them as this is illegal.

• We cannot assume responsibility for lost packages—if you’d like to purchase insurance for your shipment—contact orders@shopquiltology.com.

As a rule of thumb, you can expect the following transit times for shipments—3 to 5 days for packages shipped to the 48 contiguous states—and up to 7 days for Alaska and Hawaii. International orders may take 7 to 10 days to arrive in the destination country and then a couple more days to arrive at your home address.

YES!!! We can now accept gift certificates online. Our new gift certificates include an online redemption code on the back. If you have one of older certificates from the shop--you will need to call us directly and place a phone order. Or--as always--gift certificates are accepted in the shop. Questions?
